The Bully in Economy

Another flight, another saga. My wife traveled with me this week. On our cross country return flight from Seattle to Atlanta we were in coach. I had the aisle and Sheena had the middle seat. Packed plane.

Everyone got seated and situated and all was well. Our travel today began with a redeye out of Anchorage to Seattle so we were pretty tired. We lift off into the night air and I decided to recline my chair and possibly get some rest. Sheena did the same. But as soon as she leaned back, there was a commotion coming from the seat just behind her. The lady sitting there started raising cane and pushing Sheena's seated back up. She said it was hitting her knees and complained loudly about how rude it was for someone to recline their seat into "her" space. She whined and complained and called us rude for thirty minutes before pressing the call button to complain to the flight attendant.

Of course the flight attendant, eyes rolling, let her know that she could do nothing. For the next hour she complained and kept bumping the back of the seat while telling her husband that they needed to take pictures of her knees because she could see the "imprint" on her skin. She continually said she "paid" for her space and it was being invaded. She finally got tired after a couple of hours, I guesss, and at least shut up. But geez, she was a piece of work who, I suspect, has bullied her way through life. We made it to ATL and will be home soon....at least for a while.
