I guess power naps are important to some people. On a 21 minute flight, as soon as the wheels lifted off the tarmac, the lady in front of me reclined her seat, grabbed a pillow and blanket and snuggled down to get comfortable...in a coach seat. I am not complaining, mind you. I have enough room to endure the next fifteen minutes. But I am amused. Meanwhile the cabin is relatively quiet except for two very chatty and loud talking women. Don't they know they are keeping people awake? Now really? Whoops! Out of time. Headed down now. Glad some people got their rest. ;)

Holiday Travelers...ergh!

Holiday travelers, ergh! Early flight out of Lexington, KY. I get to the airport and head to the Delta ticket desk to check my bag, etc. Long line in all the lanes, including SkyPriority Lane. Normally the SP line moves pretty quickly as there are usually experienced travelers who know what to do. Normally.

Body Odor Galore

This story deserves a rerun. I still occasionally encounter relatives of Biff on my flights. Yesterday, however I discovered through scientific observation on a 6a flight and then connecting on an 815a flight that early travelers seem to not shower much. Both flights, body odor was rampant. And before anyone questions, no it was not me. ;) — thinking about life.

CLEAR Lane Returns

First it was CLEAR Lane until they went out of business, then TSA pre clear until those lines became longer than the regular line. Now, CLEAR Lane is back, at least at a few airports. I wonder what will be the next leapfrog? I do like the CLEAR lane.

Inconsiderate in the Airport

So I am sitting in the Detroit Airport awaiting my flight to Chatt. Directly across from me are three designated and we'll marked seats reserved for "handicapped". Right next to the end seat is a charging station. A perfectly mobile lady sits down in the farthest handicap seat, pulls out her laptop and sets it on the second handicap seat and then plugs her charger in, stringing it across the third handicap seat. Some people are simply oblivious to the rules of society, nor do they seem to even care. Unbelievable.

Female Pilots

Observation: I frequently and gladly see female pilots on flights these days, even entire female flight and cabin crews. Pretty cool. But Delta, c'mon, do you think you could find a female captains uniform that is a little more flattering, rather than using the exact same tailor for men and women, right down to the captain's hat? These are professional, competent and attractive females who are danged impressive. Let's treat them as such. What ya say

Trick or Treat

So, to lighten the mood, here I am on a plane. I was fortunate enough to get an upgrade to first class, row 1, seat B. Aisle seat. My seat mate had already boarded when I came on. A rather portly gentleman (ok, I gotta be careful here because I am basically Donald Trump's size so I guess that makes me too overweight to run for President according to some pundits....but I digress) sitting in his chair with headphones on and iPad in his lap already watching a movie or something.
